We are happy to welcome Andrea Fanti for a PhD internship in the lab. Andrea is a third year PhD candidate in the KRL research group at Sapienza Università di Roma, Italy, and will be staying at OWL-ML in Bremen for 6 months until the end of the year 2025.
Andrea works on emergent behaviors in multi-agent Reinforcement Learning environments and other Reinforcement Learning exploration techniques. More broadly, he is interested in how to continually generate complexity and novelty in AI. During his PhD visit period at OWL-ML he will continue on this thread and investigate curricula in the context of continual reinforcement learning and progressive merging of learned (sub-)skills.
